Updates

So I have been reading a couple of books lately. I finished reading Sam Houston and the Alamo Avengers a little while ago. It’s a pretty interesting story of the Alamo and Texas independence. It turns out that Sam Houston had a checkered past and was a lieutenant for Andrew Jackson, so that makes it all the more intriguing. Definitely a good book for anyone who like U.S. history. Remember the Alamo!

I also started reading The Oracle by Jonathan Cahn. I’m a fan of history, the Bible, and current events, and this book definitely has these elements. I’m not sure if everything in this book is actually true and describing prophecy fulfilled or if it is meant to be a type of DaVinci Code thriller. Regardless, I think Israel’s history is very interesting and this book relates Israel’s modern formation to prophecies from the past and the concept of Jubilee.

I also started having some troubles at work recently. I have a hard time discerning mistreatment and injustice regarding work performance and evaluations and God’s will concerning these topics. Naturally, I want to defend myself and tell my side of the story, but I also believe there is likely some lesson for me to learn from the situation. Of course, I could have done some things differently and better, but nobody is perfect and improvement takes time. Anyway, still more to come on this situation and continuing to pray.

I don’t know about you, but I am personally over the coronavirus hype. Maybe I am ignorant because I haven’t seen people who have been affected. Since I live by myself, there hasn’t been much of a change to my daily routine besides the fact that I am eating more packaged foods. Since I don’t have much of a social life, the whole social distancing measure haven’t impacted me too much. My baseline is pretty much social isolation as an introvert, so no adjustment needed there. Anyway, I truly do hope life returns to normal soon, but it has been refreshing to see more people and families walking down the street since schools and non-essential businesses are closed.
